Wedding Pen Sets – Marking Down The Entire Event In Ink

The officiating priest has finally given his blessing to the both of you as the newly wedded couple. All your family and friends are ecstatic and happy and are all lining up in front of the altar to have the customary photo session together with the bride and groom.

As a bride, you are certainly very proud of this remarkable event of your life. You have married a very handsome groom, dashing and elegant in his tuxedos. You looked in his eyes and silently tell him that you really wanted to spend the rest of your life with him together with your future children.

Your parents are proud and happy too, because they again saw in you the embodiment of responsibility and maturity. They have brought you up in a household full of love and compassion, provided you an education many would die for to have and instilled in you a sense of righteousness and justice. All things considered you are perfect and maybe that is the reason why your groom married you.

As per the plan, the wedding ceremony is over. You now expect everyone to proceed to the wedding reception for some great party and celebration. Below is a short description of a wedding reception.

A wedding reception is a party held right after the wedding ceremony. It is usually attended by the bride and groom’s family and friends. And the choice of venue depends on the number of people expected to attend. Common venues include restaurants or a large hall prepared for the occasion.

A planned wedding reception traditionally comprises of speeches of the bride’s father, groom, best man or even the maid of honor. Sometimes other friends and relatives are invited to speak in behalf of the married couple to wish them luck in their new life together as husband and wife.

A toast would soon follow, where all the guests would raise their glasses towards the couple, blesses them or say some goodwill messages and finally simultaneously drink the content of their glasses. The drink can sometimes be a sip or totally emptying the content of the glass.

Afterwards a dance usually led at first by the newly-wed couple then the groom would turn-over the bride to her father for some father and daughter dance. After this the other guests may now take the floor and dance too. In traditional times, a waltz is preferred but nowadays the dance choices can be about anything that fancies the situation and the crowd.

After this tiresome activity eating of a sumptuous meal would soon follow. Then afterwards, someone from the wedding entourage usually the most outgoing types either coming from the bridesmaids or from the groomsmen would bring out the wedding guest books. They would bring the wedding guest books on a per table basis and require all the guests to sign on it. Make sure that the wedding guest books are signed using the matching wedding pen sets. These pen sets are usually 8 ¼” tall x 2 ¼” wide. It can be engraved with the initials of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding.

Then, the tossing of the bride’s bouquet and garter would soon follow. The bride is allowed to toss the bouquet first towards the direction of single ladies present in the party. The lucky lady who catches the bouquet would be expected to be married next. This goes the same for the garter, it is taken from the bride and is tossed by the groom to all the single men in the party. And again the person who catches the garter is expected to marry next.

And lastly, the eating of the wedding cake is led by the couple. Both the bride and the groom take the first bite and afterwards the cake is distributed among the guests.

This is usually the structure being followed in most wedding receptions. But again this also varies from one culture to another or from one country to another. But one thing remains constant in this celebration or party: people are there to bless and wish the newly-wed couple luck in their new roles as husband and wife.
