Fairytale Favours – Fantastic Give Aways For A Princess Wedding Theme

Who says fairy tale endings do not happen in real life? In truth, they really do. You just have to look past the surface and there you’ll have a happy ending. It’s just a matter of looking into the brighter side of things. But, if you do want to welcome something magical into your home, then why not have a fairy tale inspired party?

This is a very cute theme if you have a child who is still in that stage wherein dressing up is what she likes to do best. For that big day, you can make her own set of wings, wand and costume. You can make this a few weeks earlier if you have enough time. But, if you had the idea of celebrating with this kind of party a bit late, then no worries, you can just order online or look for stores that sell Halloween clothes and other items all year round. The better option would probably be to look for something online.

The next thing you have to do is to plan a menu that’s not only kid friendly, but is also fairy tale inspired. You can have ‘evil cupcakes’ decorated with gummy worms and spiders, cat shaped goodies or even pumpkin cake with a glass shoe on top. You just have to think outside of the box and let your creativity run free. Also, you should prepare your house by making it more ‘fairy child friendly’. Make sure that the kids can run in the house or backyard without breaking something by taking out objects that might be a target for these kids.

And, if you do have time on your hands, why not make the invitees some wands and wings so that all get to play dress up and become fairies even for that day only. Or, if the feat of single handedly doing the wands and wings seem impossible to you, then don’t forget that you always have that option to just order online. The wings and wand can also double as fairy tale favours that the kids can take home at the end of the party.

How about something fairy tale inspired for adults?
Adults can have a fairy tale party, which would be great for Halloween or just for the fun of it. You can supply your guests with “fairy paraphernalia” or subtly hint on their invitations to bring their own. You can also have the essentials like the food and decorations a bit over the top. Just make sure that you still do the decorations tastefully or you’ll risk being the laughing stack of your friends. Inspire an ‘oh’ from your guests by decorating your house with Christmas lights or candles, flowers and with a soft draping cloth or two.

For the flowers, you can order plastic one’s in order to be able to do something creative with them like dipping it in glue and coating it in glitters. Or spray paint it a metallic color, like gold and then sprinkle on some glitters. Have soft music playing all over your house by strategically hiding cassette tapes or CD players around your house. You can either have the sound of water – like the crashing of waves or a stream flowing smoothly – or you can just have other nature sounds like the chirping or trees, but these could be annoying for some. You can just have regular party music after all guests have eaten and are ready to hit the dance floor. Lastly, don’t forget that a party made for the kid at heart but with a grown up touch also requires an added oomph.

Have a spectacular ending by announcing to guests that they can keep the wings and wands as part of their goody bag. Then, you can give them their fairy tale favours later in the evening, when the dancing is over and everyone cleared the dance floor.

Play up a wedding
Another possibility is to have a fairy tale wedding. You can make the reception ethereal looking by decorating with draping cloths and nature inspired accessories. If possible, have the real sound of water – instead of just having to duplicate the sound of water by playing CD’s or cassettes – by having a fountain. Fairy tale favours will surely play up your wedding. Now you can really seal the deal and have a happy fairy tale wedding.

Just remember that fairy tale parties are not just for the kid at heart but also for someone who’s bold or daring enough. A party that’s fairy tale inspired will be hard to pull off if you have doubts with this theme. So just have fun and who knows, you might just spot a real fairy later at the party – even if everyone knows that it’s just your daughter or your friend who looks marvelous in a fairy costume.
